Book Review - Journey of Souls

What a phenomenal book! The book is about what happens to us in between lives. It was written by a hypnotherapist that specialized in past life regression. Then one day he accidently regressed one of his clients into the place between lives. He continued to regress clients to this place and recorded his findings.

This book answered my question about soul mates. I often wondered if there was a special someone or if I should grow up and realize that we all are soul mates to each other. I suppose in the bigger picture we are all one and therefore soul mates are just a fantasy. But in this book we find that we often choose a soul to mate with while on this earth and that we are given triggers to remember so we can recognize each other. And there are other souls that we agree to meet with for the purpose of growth.

Another question I had was whether we chose our blood line and/or body. This book explains that we do look over different situations and bodies that we can be born into and make our decision based on what it is we intend to learn. We can arrange for certain bodily difficulties to challenge us in particular ways.

This really is a fascinating book that will answer a lot of questions but it also sparked a lot of questions as well. For one I have wondered what happens to animals when they die. I know they have souls because I have seen the spirit of my neighbor's cat moving about in my home. My own cats saw it as well. Perhaps the answer is in the authors second book, Destiny of Souls.

Happy reading!

Interesting... I was searching Journey of Souls and found out you also read The Disappearance of The Universe.

I bought the book Disappearance of The Universe a month ago and found it uncomprehensive and contradictable with itself. I wonder if you may be able to help me to see what it is trying to say.

The book puts emphasis on "non-dualism" but yet separate God from the "illusion". The purpose of "classroom" for souls in this world seems de-emphasized. This is very different from Journey of Souls, where each life is carefully chosen and the whole learning experience is a very important part of the Oneness.
